Now you can make the same high quality ice balls that the Japanese are known for. Slow to melt because of their increased surface area and lack of hard edges, Japanese ice balls are often served with Scotch and high end liquors where a slow melt is preferred. The traditional method of making these balls has been to carve and shape them by hand, a tedious endeavor that is both expensive and time consuming. These 3-ball molds are easy to fill and freeze in a few hours. Each case contains 15 molds for a total of 45 molds.
